Obligatory 'self-name' deviation by ThorUF72 Obligatory 'self-name' deviation by ThorUF72
Branching out a bit in the world of the fan-made Gallifreyan writing cyphers ... this time using the "Doctor's Cot" Gallifreyan system developed by Brittany G. of the tumblr site 'brittanybgood.tumblr.com' ([link])

Her system is based on the symbols seen on the Doctor's crib (cot) in the "A Good Man Goes To War" episode of the 11th Doctor's run (series 6, episode 7 - for those interested [link]). These symbols were supposedly the Doctor's real name in Gallifreyan.

This is my name, "Shawn Thorsen", as done in her system. Unlike Sherman's system, which uses a letter-for-letter exact (or near enough) translation of a word, the Doctor's Cot system (or DCG) relies on the phonetics of a word - splitting it up into consonant-vowel pairings. I really like both systems, and look forward to trying some longer and more intricate works in DCG once I get a good handle on it =D

I never really understood this way of writing Circular Gallifreyan... It's really confusing, but I didn't really take the time for it anyways.
